  • Gabrielle ("Gab") Langmann, MD, MS is a hospice and palliative medicine specialist with the Supportive and Palliative Care program at the Ï㽶ÊÓƵ of Utah Health Sciences Center and Huntsman Cancer Hospital. A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she received her undergraduate degree in English literature and anthropology from the Ï㽶ÊÓƵ of Pittsburgh and her MD from the Ï㽶ÊÓƵ of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She completed residency in combined internal medicine and pediatrics at the Ï㽶ÊÓƵ of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where she served as chief resident in her final year of training. Upon completion of residency training, Dr. Langmann stayed at UPMC to complete fellowship training in hospice and palliative medicine as well as a Master of Science degree in medical education at the Ï㽶ÊÓƵ of Pittsburgh Institute for Clinical Research Education. She holds active board certifications in general internal medicine, general pediatrics, and hospice and palliative medicine, and is recognized as a fellow of the American College of Physicians as well as the American Academy of Pediatrics.

    Dr. Langmann has clinical experience in academic inpatient adult and pediatric palliative medicine as well as inpatient hospice medicine, all settings in which she has had the privilege of working with undergraduate and graduate level learners across disciplines. Her professional interests include communication skills teaching as well as pain and symptom management for individuals affected by serious illness and substance use disorder(s) across the trajectory of palliative care and hospice care delivery.
