  • Kristen Black-Bain PT, DPT, NCS specializes in the treatment of individuals with neurological diagnoses. She has experience and continued education in the treatment of many non-progressive diagnoses including; but not limited to, Spinal Cord Injury/Disease, Concussion, Traumatic Brain Injury, Vestibular pathologies, and Stroke. Kristen graduated from A.T. Still Ï㽶ÊÓƵ in Mesa, Arizona with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2010. She received her Board Certification as a Neurological Clinical Specialist in 2014. She became a Certified Vestibular Specialist in 2018. Kristen has participated in clinical research and presented at many local and national conferences on topics related to robotic use in rehabilitation, spasticity management, and baseline concussion testing. Kristen is an experienced clinician in the use of specialized rehabilitation equipment including: Bertec Computerized Dynamic Posturography and Portable force plate; Zero-G balance system; Restorative Therapies functional electrical stimulation devices including the RT300 SLSA, RT200, RT600, and Xcite; Bioness L300/L300 Plus; Bioness BITS; Alter G Treadmill; Alter G Bionic Leg; and ReWalk Exoskeleton. Kristen serves as the lead Physical Therapist for the Sugarhouse Health Center. She also enjoys working with and educating Physical Therapy students as an Advanced Credentialed Clinical Instructor by the American Physical Therapy Association.
