Huntsman Mental Health Institute (HMHI) is pleased to welcome , as the Department of Psychiatry Grand Rounds speaker on Wedensday, December 1, 2021 at 12:00 PM. Her presentation is titled "Federal Innovations in Advancing Behavioral Health Care."
Dr. Everett currently serves as the Director of the in the US, Health and Human Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). She oversees the administration of grants that aim to increase access to quality treatment for persons with serious mental illness and children with serious emotional disturbances. Dr. Everett comes to SAMHSA with long-term experience in the delivery and leadership of psychiatric services for persons with schizophrenia and other psychiatric conditions. Prior to SAMHSA, she was on faculty at The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and the Bloomberg School of Public Health where she led a full range of outpatient and intensive community services in east Baltimore. Dr. Everett is a past president of the and the and has received commendation for her work in national healthcare reform and advocacy.

Grand Rounds typically occur the first and third Wednesday of each month. Lectures may be presented in-person, virtually, or both - presentation availability is noted in the .
