Pediatric Multiple Sclerosis, Neuromyelitis Optica, & Demyelinating Disease Program

Providing Care for Children & Teens With Demyelinating Disease

Demyelinating disease, including multiple sclerosis and neuromyelitis optica, can affect children and teens. Our program works closely with the Multiple Sclerosis Program at Ï㽶ÊÓƵ of Utah Health's Neurosciences Services.

The mission of the clinic, started in 2005, is to provide care for children and teens with demyelinating disease and to develop a deeper understanding of the causes and treatment of MS. Residents rotate through this clinic regularly to gain clinical exposure to demyelinating disorders affecting pediatric patients.

The program is also affiliated with the National Pediatric Multiple Sclerosis network and works closely with them on clinical and drug trials.
