The Task Force is comprised of members from health system and government organizations, as well as industry. The group will work to identify areas where information technology could be leveraged to improve health and health care, as well as provide recommendations to overcome barriers to achieve these goals.
In 2017, Kawamoto was appointed to a 3-year term on the U.S. Health Information TechnologyAdvisory Committee. The Committee provides recommendations to the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology on the health information technologyinfrastructure required to enhance health and health care in the United States.
