My son plays football for a local high school. Dr. Maak discovered a fracture in my sons foot that had been misdiagnosed by two previous doctors. My son wore a cast/boot for 8 weeks when in fact he had needed surgery. A 6-10 week recovery turned into nearly 6 months. Dr. Maak has the most positive attitude and kept my son focused on next season instead of the season he had lost. He has a unique way of interacting with athletes to help uplift their outlook and focus on healing and getting back to the level they were before the injury. I will never go anywhere else.

Dr. Maak takes what is a scary, uncomfortable situation (seeing an orthopedic surgeon) and brings compassion, humanity, and honesty into each interaction. He has always shared information from an objective stance, yet delivers his words with genuine care and compassion. He truly is interested in your medical care and you as a person. He listens thoroughly and empowers the patient to guide the course of their medical care. Thanks, Dr. Maak! I thoroughly appreciate how you operate (literally and as a person).

Dr. Maak is the best surgeon I've ever been evaluated and treated by. He has the best bedside manner around and I recommend him to everyone I know with knee or hip issues. Thank you for being so kind and compassionate to me Dr. Maak and for always going the extra mile for me. Your staff is amazing as well. Thank you. Thank you.

I am a 23 year old student who has unfortunately faced knee problems for many years. I was scared to get another knee surgery, but Dr. Maak relieved any anxiety I had. Dr. Maak is a doctor who took the time to listen to me. He seemed to genuinely care about what would be best for me in the future. He was straightforward and honest and really made me feel I could trust him. Thank you Dr. Maak!
