Services Provided by Licensed Clinical Psychologists
Behavioral Medicine services at Pain Management Center are provided by licensed clinical psychologists. Pain psychologists teach patients strategies to manage or cope with pain. We know pain is complex. Pain can change activity levels, goals, stress levels, relationships, and emotions.
Behavioral Medicine services start with an evaluation followed by recommendations for treatment. This may include individual and group treatment, as well as workshops.

Evidenced-based treatments we offer include:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Chronic Pain (CBT-CP)
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I); in context of chronic pain
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for chronic pain
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills training for chronic pain management
- Motivational Interviewing (MI) for health behavior change
