Our History
The Office of Wellness and Integrative Health was established in 2014 to align wellness services across campus. Our office quickly grew to serve patients and the community with multiple partnerships, including the Driving Out Diabetes Initiative. In June 2022, Ï㽶ÊÓƵ of Utah Health joined the for Integrative Health, a prestigious international group of 11 academic health centers.
This transition led to re-naming (2022) and formal center status (2023) as the Osher Center for Integrative Health (OCIH). Our establishment as a formal center had a significant impact on promoting health and well-being for the Utah community.
We continue to grow and evolve. Throughout 2024, we refined our programs and vision:
- Revised an evidence-based wellness program for university employees
- Refined a crisis response protocol for clinical units
- Expanded capacity for community-facing programs
